Palm and Vodafone Release WM6 for the Treo 750v

31 Aug

WM6 004Yesterday Palm released the update that all Treo owners in the UK have been waiting for. Windows Mobile 6 has been promised for months now and finally it has come into the Light! There is a few things to note though, 1st, it is one download per person and you have to enter your phone serial number to obtain the download. 2) The download is apparently only available till Oct 31st . Not sure what’s going to happen on the 31st but make sure you download the update software before then!

Some people have experienced some glitches after updating to WM6 but on the whole it seems to have gone relatively smoothly. Mine has worked perfectly and I only have two complaints after it, 1) The phone is slightly slow to start ringing (the caller hears 2 rings before the phone starts making a noise) and there is a slight issue with putting the phone in standby mode (it comes back on for no good reason). I am sure there will be a solution on www.xda-developers.com soon though! All in all I am happy with the upgrade! I’d love to hear your stories.

28 Aug

Yes folks I am back from my gallivanting around the globe (well Canada) and as I promised I am back to blogging properly now! As I have been away for so long I think it best I do a roundup of all the major stories that have happened since I stopped blogging! I am not going to go into them in detail, I will write a brief explanation and then put some links and then move on!

Enjoy

I think I will make this an extended entry so as not to clutter up the front page of the blog as well!

Blogus Crapas Maximus

08 Aug

Ok I know over the past few weeks my blog has been well below par, and for that I apologise. Things have been really busy here. Unfortunately the blog is not going to get much better until the end of August! I will be spending the next couple of weeks in Canada, and sadly the land of the Eskimos is slightly lacking in the internet department! In all honesty I do not know if I will have an internet connection or not, if I do find a stray CAT5 point or a random wifi connection then I may well attempt to write to you lovely folk. I might even be able to post a piccy or two!

When I return I PROMISE the blogging will be back to normal. I will have much more free time after this trip!

Have a good August all.

Anyone know how to run?

02 Aug

Dear Andrew Wardlaw,

Thank you for registering to enter the Flora London Marathon 2008 ballot.

Please come back on Friday 30th November to see if you were successful in the online ballot.

If you need to contact the organisers please quote the reference number ****** and call 0207 90 20 200

Please do not enter via the postal system as this will cause your entry to be made void

Have you considered running for charity? Why not run for one of the charities listed on our site?

Thank you.

Regards,

The Flora London Marathon 2008 Team.

Yep I just applied to run the London marathon. Lucky me!
